I first tried this scent around 2008 from a Sephora deluxe sample set. It quickly became a favorite, leading me to trade in the sample certificate for a full-size bottle. This fragrance was perfect for my honeymoon in Maui back in 2010. It’s light and sweet, refreshingly crisp yet grounded by the cedar base notes. I remember a special moment on a sunset dinner cruise—my scent caught in the breeze and attracted a woman nearby who complimented it, asking what I was wearing. I didn’t realize how rare this scent was until after owning two bottles. That’s when panic set in, and I went overboard buying as much as I could find. Now, I’m nearly through my 100ml bottle and have another stored away. Wearing it brings back those honeymoon memories vividly, but I’ll treasure every drop to avoid running out. For anyone interested, I’ve found a substitute by mixing Jeanne Lanvin with an old Philosophy “Lemon” bottle. While it doesn’t match the original’s depth, it keeps the memory alive without using my precious stash.
"I have to admit, I’m surprised I ended up liking this perfume. The balance of lemon and cedar with gardenia and raspberry is really something on my skin. While I’m not sure about its longevity, it does feel nice while it’s around." "The Body Shop's Pink Grapefruit line complements it perfectly, which I appreciate. Since I bathe often, wearing Addict Shine doesn’t seem to raise any eyebrows—though I did add a ‘lol’ for good measure." "Update: I’m getting about 5-6 hours of wear time with close sillage. It might perform even better on fabric, though!" "Another update (10 NOV 2011): This perfume is really growing on me more and more each time I catch whiff of it. I’ve become much more comfortable wearing it, so I’m thinking of grabbing 2-3 more bottles since it’s a limited edition."
"I bought it because I couldn’t resist the price at the airport. It’s pleasant but not something I’m excited about. I’ll finish it, though, but I don’t think I’ll buy another bottle."
The Bottle: It's a straightforward bottle with a unique sprayer, much like those in Dior Addict fragrances. Inside the bottle, the scent feels fresh and invigorating—tart and light, evoking a sense of spring. When sprayed, you immediately notice lemon and raspberry notes. As it dries down, gardenia and cedar become more prominent. Longevity is on the weaker side; I’d say it might not last more than a few hours. The sillage is soft and unobtrusive, never overwhelming. Overall: This perfume gives me vibes similar to Versace's Bright Crystal Absolu but with a lighter, more delicate aroma. It’s perfect for someone who doesn’t wear a lot of perfume or who has sensitivity to stronger scents.
"This is my absolute favorite perfume! I just got a mini set with this one in it, and I love it. It's so fresh and sweet without being overpowering or low-quality. Just stunning!"
